Ugh Sick

Sorry about no post yesterday but I got sick!;( However its back to work today. I am working from home building some content for the Child Care Model. Tricia is coming over to voice record for the project. This is my set up.  I will be recording using a USB Snowball mic, Garage Band and Imovie HD. Which by the way I feel that imovie has become way harder to use than the last time I used it....granted that was five years ago and I used it everyday.

My brother left for new york today. He is going snowboarding at white face. He has these socks that feel like you are wearing a cloud. I had them on yesterday while I was feeling sick. I also tried on his Snowboarding boots. I felt like I was a moon man.

Yesterday while I was sick I watched a couple of movies. I watched the Proposal staring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds. The film was such a good  RomCom. I forgot how great chick flicks can be. I then watched Extract while I did some work for CMAS. Extract was hilarious and I thought both Ben Aflec and Jason Batmen were hilarious. I felt this movie is just as good as Office Space, which was also hilarious. At the end of the day before I went to bed I watched the film The Lovely Bones.
This movie changed me. I loved it. Half way through I had full on cried twice. This film made me feel so many emotions. I thought it was great. I think that the film looked so good. So vivid. Also I do believe that Mark Walberg was miscast. However it never took me out of the film. I highly suggest it to anyone.
As for the New Years resolutions, I have kept up with my 6 glasses of water a day and my cutting back on eating out. I have yet to work out but I am promising myself I will.

Well thats it for today. I am listening to Jay-Z's blue print 3 and its fabulous.

It's a Vicious Cycle of Awesome

So yesterday I started my resolutions.

I did drink 6 glasses of water. So proud day 1. I also started organizing for my move.
I built some spreadsheets. No one was more happy than myself at these spreadsheets.
I used excel code. I color coded all of it. They look awesome.

I also went to Starbucks and Sherway gardens with Leslie, Kara, and my bro.

We just went to baby gap. Kara was feeling ill. However we did end up buying a cute dress for her. However it was for a three year old but Kara is a cute little fatty so she will fit into it soon. Brandon also rented border lands! We also beat Uncharted 2: Drakes Fortune....last boss really hard but it was awesome none the less.

I am now back at work...though I only took a total of five days off....
which was good I did not loose that much money. However we
changed the office around. I can not wait for Pauls face when he walks in!
I am also starting the second phase of my Technology project.
I am createing help guides on the online products we use.
Both print and video. If anyone has any suggestions on a
program I can use to record my desk top would be
benificial and appreciated.

Welcome 2010

So I am going to start updating this space. Well why you might say well its part of my new years resolutions. Yes thats write I did I am doing the resolution. So here they are

1. Work out 3 times a week for 30 minutes each-Wii EA Sport active will welcome me back right?!?
2. Drink 6 glasses of water a day- I know 8 is what you are suppose to drink but baby steps
3. Cut back on fast food- Me and Kris are guilty of this
4. Take a picture a day-Starting with the one I just took
5.UPDATE BLOG-Already Started
6. Create the perfectly formated itunes library-So close maybe 8 hours left!
7. Plan for upcoming move-Lists I want a ton
8. Design and Create CD Art-This series will be awesome!

I am so serious about these resolutions I wrote them on the wall....

Yep on the board with room for more. Now maybe the public shaming will make me follow through on all of these.

So there is another reason I wanted to write this blog was to show my creative process in the website I work on which is www.cmascanada.ca which your all welcome to visit. I will be working on creating both internal content and external content and would like to show my creative process.....Also just to talk about what I do all day. I know boring but someone needs to listen.

That being said yesterday i committed to watching the first and second season of Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia.  This show if you have never seen it is hilarious. Honestly not since Arrested Development have I loved a show so much. I personally think you should check out Dennis and Dee go on welfare. I feel that episode in itself is honestly the best description of this series.

The next piece of media I consumed is PS3 exclusive Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. I feel this is video game dose right. I play on super easy. I do not mind it, mainly because shooter games and me do not get along really. Give me the ability to stab or beat someone up and I will play right up there on the difficulty but for some reason the hand eye coordination needed for a shooter I do not possess. However this game is beautiful.

I also had a huge 4 hour marathon of Deadliest Catch....That show is awesome.

Well thats it for today.

I Went to the Circus

So last night I went to the Circus. Taking the subway down to union station was filled with 20somethings with their French manicures and there pin straight hair laughing with their friends, all with the excitement of seeing a woman who for the last two years has been shown as crazy, come and entertain them. The one the only Ms. Britney Spears the Princess of Pop.

Arriving at the gate was the line up filled the inside of the ACC, so I continued outside to enter at the side gates where I got in with a quick glance in my purse, no pat down like I am used too. The concert was to start at 7:00pm exactly and it did not disappoint. The three rings clearly visible, I was centre stage first row about to see on of my first pop concert. The lights went down the Curtin came up and there they were, five dolls standing on a cascading staircase saying hello.

The pussycat dolls were really that little dolls. There costumes matching in all girl band glory. The surprising thing was their energy. It did not feel that they were just going through the motions, no they were having fun. They played for about a half hour to 45 minutes. Surprisingly they actually interacted with the audience much unlike Ms. B Spears. They also had the cutest outfits. Each sparkly sailor lingerie piece. I was unsure if it was the best for the 8 year olds two rows behind me.

They played their new song Jaeho and only Nicole sang. The dolls became glorified back up dancers. Otherwise the pussycat dolls were a good opening act but I would never go just to see them.

After they left the stage I went to find the bar which was a successful with my jack and cokes in my hand I descended back into the circus. After entering back into the ring a real circus was performing. They did all the acrobatic tricks and was very fun…it killed time while they got the stage set up.

And then it happened the circus performers took their final bow and then a big LED circle screen came down that did a circle around the main stage. Complete with a giant red curtain. Perez Hilton opened the show and was amazing as the scary ring leader for this freak show.  And there coming down from the roof riding in a big brass ring was Britney.

She opened up with circus and continued the big sceptical. Her dancers fully around her like a security blanket. Britney was back bitch and you knew it. The costumes were amazing every number seemed to sparkle a bit more than the last. The show was campy. She did everything you would expect from a princess of pop. Clearly lip sinking the entire time Britney danced her heart out. Britney really used all 3 rings creating a show that there was no bad seat.

She did not however interact with the crowd at all. This was fine. Britney is not real she is doll that was put on this earth to entertain you. I loved the outfits, the stage, the props…you could tell this was an expensive show to put on and that it was planned so well. I especially enjoyed the sweet dreams cut scene which was both sexy and provocative while still keeping with the circus theme. I think one of the best costumes was not even Britney’s it was a back up dancers, Who was centre stage in a white spot light descending from the roof with giant black wings to demonstrate it was the freak show portion of the circus. It was exquisitely beautiful.

For the ending of the show Britney had a montage using all her music video’s to get the crowd excited and then she came up from the bottom of the stage, and there she was Srgt. Spears. Even though she only preformed one encore song which was womanizer she had the wall of sparks like in the circus video followed by confetti pouring down. Which got everywhere but it was wonderful.

In the end this concert was everything it needed to be to get Britney back on top. I looked at her last night not as a lost girl but as a confident woman whose life was getting back on top, a true role model not for kids but teenagers and 20 something’s who need to know that no matter how much of a circus your life is, it will work out as long as you want to fix it all, there is no need to be a freak show unless you want to be.
